This past Thursday I paid a visit to Arundel High School in Gambrills, Maryland. To gain some inside knowledge on the Arundel Wildcats Varsity football program. During this post practice visit I got to speak with multiple players on a variance of topics. Discussing everything from their best skill as a player, to goals they have set for themselves or the team going into this short Arundel County football season. I began by interviewing three players one from each Class to get varying perspectives on the players mindsets going into this season.
Beginning with Class of 2021 recruit Wide Receiver Marcus Cager. In the interview below I inquired on a multitude of topics including his recent college commitment.
The next player I spoke with was Class of 2022 Linebacker Hunter Green. In this interview we crossed several avenues, including how in his now junior year he is taking on more of a leadership role.
The final player I got the chance to speak with was Class of 2023 recruit Running Back/Kick Returner Ahmad Taylor. With one of the main topics of interest being what he can add to Arundel’s varsity squad with his possibly increased role.
Overall my visit to Arundel was great and I clearly got some insight into the thinking and experiences of some of the players going into this season. Plus with their 4-game season having kicked off with a tough loss against Old Mill 16-6 they are looking to bounceback next week in a big way . I look forward to following them the rest of the year to see how things progress.
